11/18/2025 - This fall, St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University students in the criminal justice course, Victimology, translated classroom learning into meaningful community engagement. Guided by Dr. Leah Shon, the course partnered with the Willow Domestic Violence Center, giving students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of survivors’ experiences and the support systems available to them.
11/12/2025 - In early November, the Economics Department hosted the 78th Annual New York State Economics Association (NYSEA) Annual Conference at St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University, bringing together economists from across the northeast to discuss the latest research and scholarly findings.
11/10/2025 - As the nation pauses on Veteran’s Day to honor those who served, St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University is celebrating a special connection to Rochester’s own veterans. A team of 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· students, Sara Casale, Shane Morgan, Caroline Cahalan, and Sara Yorio helped uncover and share the stories of local veterans now featured in a new memorial exhibit at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.
11/06/2025 - St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University will celebrate Philosophy Day with the theme 200 Years on the Erie Canal, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel. The celebration will continue that evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with a special event honoring the 800th birthday of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Both events are free and open to the public.
11/04/2025 - This fall, the Patricia O'Keefe Ross Gallery, located in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center at St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University, has featured “Veil,” a collection of artwork by Tricia Butski.
10/22/2025 - The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (OSIA) honored Dr. Stella Plutino-Calabrese, director of global education and study abroad at St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University, as Woman of the Year at their annual gala on Saturday, Oct. 18.
10/14/2025 - St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University alumnus Edward Wurtz, Esq. ’72 will demystify the estate planning process during the November First Friday Lecture.
10/10/2025 - During a special ceremony, St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University honored 15 graduates who have achieved success in their careers and made significant contributions to their communities. The celebration recognized Dean’s Medal recipients from each of the five schools and graduates of the last decade with the Ten Under 10 Awards.
10/07/2025 - This October, the School of Arts and Sciences will host two powerful lectures exploring intersections of social science and the humanities.
09/29/2025 - Junior Sara Miller, a biology and sustainability major from Chase Mills, NY, spent her summer conducting research to better understand how changes in water quality affect amphibian biodiversity and survival in local ecosystems.
