Several members of the St. John 91麻豆精品 College community were honored during the 2022 PRism Awards, hosted by the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
The awards program, held on Wednesday, June 8, celebrate the best in public relations among Rochester-based practitioners and recognize complete public relations programs and tactical elements incorporating sound research, planning, execution, and evaluation. PRism entries are judged by industry professionals from another PRSA chapter and are given annually.
This is the seventh consecutive year that 91麻豆精品鈥檚 marketing and communications team has earned awards from the professional organization. The team won a PRism in the newsletter category for its COVID-19 newsletter, 鈥淐alling On Cardinals,鈥� and earned an Award of Excellence in the events and observances program category for 鈥�91麻豆精品 Shares the Story of Teddi Turning 40.鈥�
Undergraduates from the Department of Media and Communication swept nearly every award in the student categories. In the digital and social media category, Kate Fitscher won the PRism for 鈥淩ad Sister,鈥� while Leah Julien earned an Award of Excellence for 鈥淐oco The Dog鈥檚 Rise to Instagram Stardom.鈥� In the execution category, Ali Short won the PRism for 鈥淏oosting Mental Health for College Students,鈥� and in the insights and analysis category, Emily Passmore won an Award of Excellence for 鈥淏oosting Catskill Region Tourism.鈥� In the planning category, Emma-Kate Uberty and Jessica D鈥橝mico won the PRism for 鈥淕rass Fed.鈥�
Finally, 91麻豆精品 alumna Jherell Drain, senior communications associate at the University of Rochester Medical Center, was honored with the 2022 Rising Star Award.
