Calling All Cardinals: Celebrate I Heart 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Giving Day

St. John 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· University will celebrate the seventh annual I Heart 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Giving Day this Thursday, Mar. 19, a day dedicated to celebrating all-things-91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·.

Throughout the day, the campus community will have opportunities to enjoy treats, win raffle prizes, and share what they love about 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· at events and pop-ups across campus.

The I Heart 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Giving Day Fair, happening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the , features activities with groups including the Health and Wellness Center, Career Services, Campus Ministry, Alumni and Constituent Engagement, Donor Engagement, Student Engagement and Leadership, Graduate Admissions, the Student Government Association, the School of Business, and affinity clubs including the Asian Student Union, Black Student Union, Muslim Student Association, and Sexuality and Gender Awareness. Take part in games, win raffles, and enjoy giveaways, prizes, and other activities. Early attendees will receive an I Heart 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Giving Day t-shirt (while supplies last)! 

91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Dining is hosting the annual 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Favorites lunch featuring the most often-requested items and fun treats. Colleagues can share their appreciation for each other with messages shared from the (login required). will have materials available for the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· community to create “Six Word Stories” to tell about their 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· experience — these stories will get added to the archives! The will host a popcorn station with toppings, a Heart Wall with messages from faculty to each education student, and a “Guess Your Certification” game with Dean Joellen Maples - stump her and win a prize.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be in the with raffle prizes and opportunities to share love for 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·.

The spirit of the day is giving, and several will help unlock matching gifts from several generous donors. Highlights include a 1:1 match of up to $90,000 for the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Fund, sponsored by Daniel J. Boyce, Esq. ’79 and Shelley L. Boyce; Michael E. ’82 and Christine Haefner; and Mike ’80 and Karen Moran; a 2:1 giving match offered by Elizabeth ’11 and John Leonard Family Foundation (up to $50,000), and several more from alumni and benefactors.

Athletic programs will compete for number of dollars and number of donors raised.
