The series started on Monday with a lecture watch party for Arien Rozelle, a professor in the Department of Media and Communication, as she presented the talk, 鈥淪uffragists: Public Relations Pioneers鈥 for the Susan B. Anthony House. Rozelle鈥檚 talk explored how pioneering public relations suffragists were the influencers of their time.

At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, via Zoom, Talya Meyerowitz is hosting an interactive workshop, 鈥淗ow Women Can Lift Each Other as They CLIMB!鈥 Meyerowitz is a well-known leadership and corporate culture consultant dedicated to enlightening women on how to champion and support one another in the workplace. Students will have a chance to explore the benefits of effective communication, transparency, candor, and the powerful effects of building each other up instead of tearing each other down.

LEAD #LikeAGirl will conclude with the 鈥淔inding Your Voice: Learning from Inspirational Leaders鈥 panel at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, via Zoom. Kim Allen, CEO of Dixon Schwabl; Dresden Engle, founder and executive director of Dresden PR; and Amanda DeVito 鈥96, vice president of marketing and growth for Butler/Till, will discuss personal growth, leadership development, and building confidence as a woman in the communications industry.

LEAD #LikeAGirl was originally created by alumnae Alexandra Hristodoulou 鈥17 and Rachael Zalewski 鈥17, with the help of adviser and professor Arien Rozelle, to empower students interested in media and communication fields by providing them with the skills to exercise active leadership and celebrate personal and professional strengths.
