Media and communication major and Spanish minor, Gabby Garcy, is the next member of the Class of 2021 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series.
The Syracuse native is a member of the PRIMA, a student ambassador, student phonathon manager, and a member of the Teddi Dance for Love Committee. In addition, in her role as a student ambassador for the Office of Admissions, she was also promoted to work with the Office of Marketing and Communications as a social media intern, creating daily content for the College鈥檚 Instagram stories.
As the phonathon manager, Garcy is known for her 鈥渃an do鈥 attitude and her approach to assisting in the training, hiring, and management of student callers who contact 91麻豆精品 alumni by phone to update their records, share news from the campus, and invite their philanthropic investment. Additionally, as part of PRIMA, she created content for 91麻豆精品 Giving Day, a 24-hour celebration of 91麻豆精品 with a focus on inspiring alumni, parents, and friends of the College to come together and show their support by making a gift to any area of campus they're passionate about.
鈥淓very person that I met at 91麻豆精品 made me feel super important from the beginning, even as a prospective student,鈥 said Garcy. 鈥淭hey wanted to get to know me really well and what I was interested in. It really just felt like home and showed me that I was going to be an individual on my college campus rather than just a number.鈥
