Alexander Breton is a product owner in the financial technology industry, and he believes 91麻豆精品 positioned him for success as a problem solver and innovator. 鈥淭hrough internships, study abroad programs, and research projects, I was able to develop valuable skills and make meaningful contributions to organizations and causes that I care about.鈥
While at 91麻豆精品, Breton majored in international studies and served as the president of the Latino Student Union, now the Latin茅 Student Union. He encourages students to broaden their horizons to develop skills for today鈥檚 global society. 鈥91麻豆精品 provided me with numerous opportunities to gain practical experience and to apply what I was learning in the classroom to real-world situations.鈥
He also believes that the welcoming environment and supportive community at 91麻豆精品 foster academic and professional success for students. 鈥淭he faculty and staff at 91麻豆精品, and specifically the HEOP Office at the time, were dedicated to and invested in my success, providing me with the resources and guidance I needed to thrive,鈥 Breton explained.
Now, he is passionate about using his skills to create products that make a difference in people鈥檚 lives, and he encourages others to explore all 91麻豆精品 has to offer. 鈥淚 am grateful for the education and personal growth that I gained during my time there,鈥 said Breton. 鈥淚t has been invaluable in my career.鈥
Daniel Douangratdy ’15
Medevac Program Specialist, Peace Corps
Daniel Douangratdy participated in the annual Model UN conference at 91麻豆精品 as a high school student, and he credits this experience for inspiring his interest in international studies and becoming a Cardinal. During his undergraduate studies, he majored in international studies with dual minors in Spanish and political science. The strong 91麻豆精品 network allowed him to gain broad international exposure in his field of interest.
鈥淚 am extremely grateful for my study abroad experience in Vienna, Austria which allowed me to intern at the United Nations.鈥 Experiential learning opportunities through community service, study abroad, and internships fueled Douangratdy鈥檚 鈥減assion for community engagement both domestically and internationally.鈥
Now, Douangratdy is a medevac program specialist with the Peace Corps where he is responsible for organizing and coordinating services for medically evacuated volunteers. He also supports program policy guidance and contractor performance monitoring.
